The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started releasing the Class 12 re-evaluation and verification results for the 2026 board examinations. Students who applied for verification of marks, obtained copies of evaluated answer sheets, or requested re-evaluation can now check their revised results through official platforms. Revised scorecards and updated marksheets are being made available digitally through DigiLocker.
CBSE Begins Releasing Re-Evaluation Results
CBSE has processed a significant majority of re-evaluation applications submitted by Class 12 students following the declaration of board results. According to board updates, more than 87% of applications have already been reviewed, while the remaining cases are being released in phases.
The re-evaluation process allows students to seek a review of their answer sheets if they believe there may have been an error in the original assessment. Under CBSE's revised post-result framework, students could access scanned copies of answer books, request verification, and apply for re-evaluation of specific answers.
How to Check CBSE Class 12 Re-Evaluation Result 2026
Students can access their updated results online through DigiLocker by following these steps:
Visit the DigiLocker results portal.
Log in using registered credentials.
Navigate to the "Issued Documents" section.
Select the CBSE Class 12 Marksheet option.
Download the revised marksheet or scorecard if changes have been made after verification or re-evaluation.
Students are advised to keep their roll number and other required credentials ready while accessing the updated documents.
What Happens If Marks Change?
If the re-evaluation process identifies an error in assessment, the revised marks will be reflected in the updated marksheet. CBSE has clarified that any increase in marks following re-evaluation indicates that corrections were made after a detailed review of the answer sheet.
In cases where marks remain unchanged, CBSE states that it does not necessarily indicate a flaw in the evaluation process. Instead, it reflects that the original assessment was found to be accurate after review.
Measures Taken by CBSE to Ensure Accuracy
The board has emphasized that the re-evaluation process is conducted through a structured and monitored system. Multiple levels of checks, expert reviews, and digital evaluation mechanisms have been implemented to improve transparency and reduce the possibility of human error.
CBSE has also highlighted reforms introduced under its On-Screen Marking (OSM) system, which is designed to streamline evaluation and improve consistency across answer sheet assessments.
Revised Marksheet Validity
The updated marksheet available on DigiLocker is considered an officially verified document and can be used for college admissions, counselling processes, scholarships, and other academic purposes. Students are advised to download and save a copy of the revised document for future reference.
Important Advice for Students
Students should rely only on official CBSE and DigiLocker platforms for result updates and avoid unverified information circulating on social media. Those whose results are still pending should regularly monitor official portals, as the remaining re-evaluation outcomes are expected to be released in phases.
As the admission season begins across universities and professional courses, candidates are encouraged to download their revised marksheets as soon as they become available and verify all details carefully before using them for academic applications.
